If you are familiar with Riverside Cabins, you know we have five different models: The Yellowstone, The Stillwater, The Bitterroot, The Yaak, and The Madison. All of our models are named after different rivers in Montana. Since 2018, Riverside Cabins has produced fully finished, premium modular cabins and homes. Fast forward to 2024, and we have a new offering in our lineup, cabin shells!
What is a cabin shell?
A cabin shell refers to the basic structural framework or outer structure of a cabin before any interior finishes or additional features are added.
Think of it as the skeleton of a cabin. It includes the essential components like walls, roof, and floor, but does not yet have things like insulation, drywall, flooring, or cabinets. In construction, the cabin shell provides the primary support and protection against the elements. Once the shell is complete, customers can then move on to adding insulation, electrical systems, plumbing, and interior finishes to turn it into a fully functional and comfortable space, exactly how they want it.
The term “shell” is often used in various types of construction to indicate that a structure is in its basic form and is ready for further development.
