Crane day is an exciting, yet nerve wracking day for any customer. The site is flooded with heavy machinery, semi-trucks, and crews from various entities prepping for a safe and smooth install. What all happens on crane day? Let’s dive into a recap of our very first Yaak set!
Nestled in the heart of the canyon near the banks of the Missouri River sat a beautiful piece of land awaiting the delivery of its new addition, the Yaak.
Staging
Depending on the site, if room allows, our driver will travel the day before and stage the building on property so it’s readily available the morning of crane day. For this particular project there was just enough room to stage the Yaak. With the supervision of Orange (bloodhound), we were able to get the cabin up the hill and onto the jackstands where it would sit overnight ready for the crane the following morning.
Crane Day
It was a picture perfect Montana morning as crews slowly began to trickle up the hill in preperation for the set. The property owners anxiously awaited the crane crew and Riverside install team to arrive.
In less than an hour, everyone was set and in position. The install crew put the lifting bands in place and attached to the crane. Within 10 minutes, the eagle had landed! The lifting bands are cut and the crew began securing the cabin to the foundation.
Fast Forward
It has been a little over 6 months since we set our inagural Yaak. Check out some photos below of all the progress from our customer! Book it today on airbnb: airbnb.com/h/yaak
